In 1979, engineering prodigy Sami Malik (Danny Pudi) left his impoverished Indian village for the promise of a position in Chicago, and the chance to honor the memory of his accomplished hunter father. The American Dream quickly turns nightmarish, though, when the job's pulled out from under him-and he's got to scramble to make a living and keep the folks back home from finding out.
