Recently garnering three Emmy nominations in the Comedy category, the new season of SHAMELESS finds the Gallaghers dealing with both the upside and downside of personal and urban renewal. In season five, Frank (William H. Macy), Fiona (Emmy Rossum), Lip (Jeremy Allen White) and the rest of the family - Ian, Debbie and Carl Gallagher - and their neighbors Kev and Veronica band together to fight the invading hipster hordes as real estate speculators and organic coffee shops begin to overrun their beloved South Side of Chicago. But, as their neighborhood begins a move towards gentrifying, the Gallagher clan begins to reconcile their chaotic past in the hopes of building a better future. In addition to new series star Emily Bergl and recurring special guest star Joan Cusack, the new season features guest stars Dermot Mulroney, Steve Kazee and Sasha Alexander.
