Passion in the Desert

Based on the 19th-century novel by Balzac, this exotic film tells of Augustin (Ben Daniels), an officer in Napoleon's army during a 1798 Egyptian campaign, who gets lost from his troops in the desert. Threatened by a sandstorm and a Bedouin who's chasing him, Augustin finds help from a wild leopard. Soon, man and beast bond in a most unusual way. Michel Piccoli co-stars. 92 min.
