Make Me An Offer' was the winner of the 1959 Evening Standard Best Musical award and Sepia is proud to present the original cast recording on CD. Composed by David Heneker (Half a Sixpence) and Monty Norman (Irma La Douce, Expresso Bongo and the James Bond Theme), 'Make Me An Offer' won the 1959 Evening Standard Best Musical award and boasts an impressive cast who all went on to bigger things. The show starred Daniel Massey, Dilys Laye, Sheila Hancock and Diana Coupland. For it's first time on CD this cast recording also includes excerpts from a live TV broadcast of the show. A satirical musical, 'Make Me An Offer' started life as a brilliant best-selling novel by Wolf Mankowitz and then an excellent film with Peter Finch set in London's Portobello Road and based on the lives of the antique dealers there.
