Genevieve is an independent and mischievous young teen determined to seek romance and adventure even after arriving at Miss Paddles boarding school. Pittsburgh-based Olive Thomas won a beauty contest while working a Manhattan department store. The publicity ended up netting her a spot in the Ziegfeld Follies and jump-started her film career. She appeared in silent's such as Madcap Madge (1917) and Indiscreet Corinne (1917). She died rather tragically at the young age of 25 after accidentally overdosing on mercury bi chloride.
