A true "B" Western icon of the ’20s, ’30s and early-’40s, Charles ‘Buck’ Jones took the genre by storm and simply became known as Buck Jones across his 160+-film career. The legitimate cowboy, although born in Indiana, grew up riding, shooting and honing the skills that would make him a Western star first in silent films and later talking ones. His filmography includes a stint as one of a trio of U.S. Marshals known as the "Rough Riders" and he had his own famous pre-Lone Ranger horse named Silver.
