Since the dawn of cinema, science fiction and special effects have captured the public’s imagination, as this classic by director George Melies proves. George might have been too far ahead of his time. To overcome the technological constraints of his day, this rare black-and-white print was hand tinted before its release. Plus it came with a script for actors to read the lines no sound equipment of that era could record on film.
