Want to understand why our economy is in such a mess? This straight-shooting two-part documentary is a look back in time at some of the labor issues that foretold part of our currently economic failings. Part one chronicles the gritty realities of a seven-week strike at small chain factory in Indiana back in the early 1980s. Volatile union meetings and tension-filled interactions on the picket line provide an inside view of the conflicts of labor negotiations. Part two returns four years later to find labor and management working together against the odds to prevent the factory from moving overseas, putting people out of work and destroying America's blue-collar work force.
