Musical Journey / Various
Here are some of the most unusual home movies you will ever see. In 1955 Pete Seeger bought a used Aoricon 16 mm film camera, 8 years later him and his wife, Toshi, would take their 3 children out of school and travel the world in search of good music. In 1966, with their now 21 year old son Dan they arranged to film African-American work songs in Texas prisons. Nearly 30 years later, friend Stefan Grossman, cleared the dust off of those film canisters stored in their barn and put together this film, a MUSICAL JOURNEY: THE FILMS OF PETE, TOSHI & DAN SEEGER 1957-1964.
