Season four of the speculative documentary series IN SEARCH OF opens as host Leonard Nimoy probes the facts and fancies surrounding the topic of tidal waves. This, of course, is but one of 24 intriguing half-hour episodes exploring the strange, the mysterious, and the phenomenal, with Nimoy posing questions and the series' production staff endeavoring to provide the answers (if any!). Among the subjects touched upon this season are the Amityville 'horror,' the Lost Colony of Roanoke, the Shroud of Turin, the Ten Commandments, the disappearance of the merchant ship Mary Celeste, the possibilities of 'past lives,' and the theory that sharks live forever! And of course, several episodes focus upon real-life celebrities, notably John the Baptist, Glenn Miller (whose death during WWII is still a topic of hot debate), and even skyjacker D.B. Cooper.
