Ex-NFL Kicker Simon Matthews (Ian Michaels) and his soon-to-be fiancée Brittany (Sarah Smick) are fed up with their shitty jobs and ready to ditch Los Angeles for good. So, they load up their truck and head to Brittany's home town of Victory, Texas to open a salon-saloon (half beauty parlor, half sports bar). Everything goes swimmingly, until Simon, in the midst of their cross-country trek, gets offered his dream job as a college football scout back in Southern California. While he struggles to break the news to Brittany, and she harbors secrets of her own, Simon's free-loading best friend Teddy (Matt Linhardt) hitches a ride, only complicating the matter. A stop in Simon's hometown to discover that his alcoholic father (Luce Rains) is off the wagon again pushes things over the edge. And what will Brittany's father Dave (Dan Lauria) think of his future son-in-law's plan to bail on his beloved daughter's nascent salon-saloon? Simon only has a couple hundred miles left to get his father to a rehab facility, kick Teddy to the curb, and convince Brittany they would be better off turning the truck around.
