The Eternal Road
Kurt Weill, Max Reinhardt and Meyer Weisgal teamed up in the 1930s to write an opera chronicling persecution of the Jews by Hitler. Weill’s powerful opera-oratorio bares the souls of the Jewish people as it reflects in music their desperate plight en route to the Holocaust. This program chronicles how the opera was painstakingly created and produced. 2011/color-b&w/58 min/NR/fullscreen.
